How to track tools, machinery and assets

Asset tracking covers the gear you own — tools, vehicles and machinery. You can check items in and out, schedule maintenance, and charge metered machinery time to jobs.

Instructions

1. 1
   Go to Inventory → Asset Tracking.

   You'll see your assets and their current status — available, out or due service.

   Add an asset.

   Record what it is and, for machinery, how it's metered (for example per hour).

   Check assets in and out.

   Track who has a tool or vehicle and when it's due back.

4. 4
   Record machinery use on a job.

   Log metered hours against the job so they can be billed and counted toward utilisation.
