How to set up your business details
Updated recently
Topic
Your business details appear on every quote, invoice and purchase order you send — so it's worth getting them right before you send your first document. This is where you add your name, address, contact details, GST number and logo.
Instructions
- 1Go to Defaults → Business in the sidebar.
This is your company profile — everything here flows onto your PDFs and email footers.
- 2Enter your trading name, address, phone and email.
The address uses structured fields (street, suburb, city, region, country) so it renders cleanly on documents.
- 3Add your GST number and default payment terms.
Payment terms pre-fill on new invoices and purchase orders, and the GST number shows on the letterhead.
- 4Upload your logo.
Use your own business logo — it becomes the letterhead on your quote, invoice and PO PDFs. PNG or SVG on a transparent background works best.
- 5Click Save.
You'll see a confirmation once your changes are stored.
Additional Information
The logo you upload here is yours — WorkshopMax only adds a small 'Powered by WorkshopMax' line in the PDF footer.
If you connect Xero later, your account and GST settings are mapped separately under Integrations → Xero.
