Topic

Each team member has an access level that controls what they see in WorkshopMax: Owner, Office or Field. It keeps pricing, financials and settings in front of the right people and out of the way of everyone else.

Instructions

  1. 1
    Go to Defaults → Team.

Each person has an Access column alongside their name and role.

  2. 2
    Set an access level.

Owner — full access including settings, pricing, Xero and financials. Office — day-to-day ops and billing, but no company settings, Xero or team. Field — their own jobs and scheduling, with no financials, pricing or settings.

  3. 3
    Save the row.

The person's menu and sensitive views update to match — for example, Field crew don't see job profitability or cost/margin.

Additional Information

The primary account stays Owner, so you can't accidentally lock yourself out.

This currently tailors what each role sees in the app; it's about keeping the interface relevant, not a hard security boundary.
